  • Black Belt AA Point Sparring – The US Open applies North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) rules for point sparring divisions. NASKA rules can be found here.

  • Black Belt AA Forms and Weapons – The US Open applies North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) rules for creative, musical, extreme and traditional forms divisions. NASKA rules can be found here.
  • Black Belt AA Team Divisions – The US Open applies North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) rules for team sparring, demo team and synchronized team divisions. NASKA rules can be found here.
  • ISKA North American Amateur Rules for Black Belt “A” and Under Black Belt Divisions – ISKA has adopted the current NASKA Rules for with the following exceptions for Black Belt A and Under Black Belt Divisions.
      1. ISKA LOSS OF WEAPON CONTROL RULE – Click to download.
      2. ISKA RULE ON CONTACT BETWEEN OFFICIALS AND COMPETITORS – Click to download.
      3. ISKA LENGTH OF SPARRING MATCH RULE – The length of a match will be two minutes running-time unless a competitor is SEVEN (7) points ahead (Seven Point Spread Rule) before time has expired
